Adult learning and education as a tool to contain pandemics: The COVID-19 experience

This article draws attention to the promotion of health literacy as part of Adult Learning and Education (ALE). The authors argue that the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the significance of health literacy as an education process that assists adults to make informed health-related decisions. Such literacy is particularly vital in contexts where healthcare systems need to be strengthened.
