    This article draws attention to the promotion of health literacy as part of Adult Learning and Education (ALE). The authors argue that the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the significance of health literacy as an education process that assists adults to make informed health-related decisions. Such literacy is particularly vital in contexts where healthcare systems need to be strengthened.

    Effects of COVID-19 on the adult education in West Africa

    PAMOJA expressed concerned about the impact of COVID-19 on adult learning in West Africa. In this article, PAMOJA expressed concerns on, amongst others, the closing of adult learning spaces, reversing adult literacy gains as well as slowing down economic activities linked to poverty alleviation. PAMOJA argues for greater promotion of adult using a variety of strategies.
