My experience in adult learning and education
Youth Net and Counselling is youth focused, women and child serving organisation established in 1997 based in Malawi. Adult Literacy and Education is a key component within our programming. The integrated delivery encapsulate Adult Literacy and Numeracy, Financial Literacy and economic strengthening. Supporting Widow, women/cargivers keeping orphans children, women who did not have the opportunity to attend formal education, girls vulnerable to child marriage, girls with parents who could not provide livelihood support to children, vulnerable teen mothers among other things. YONECO trains community volunteers as Adult Literacy Facilitators and conduct the sessions through Adult Literacy Circles.
