Visit WebsiteThe National Association for Youth Exchanges – Friendship and Solidarity (ANEJ) is an Algerian legal entity, recognized by the Ministry of the Interior, Local Collectivities, and Territorial Planning. It has been approved under number 005 since January 7, 1992, with its approval renewed on September 13, 2021, under number 12/21.
ANEJ works towards the development and promotion of youth activities as well as the dissemination of values related to citizenship, volunteerism, and community service. In recent years, the association has particularly focused on the integration and socio-professional inclusion of youth through various projects aimed at encouraging, guiding, supporting, and training young job seekers in the creation of their own businesses or micro-enterprises.
Since April 2017, ANEJ has held special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). It also holds the vice-presidency within the African Parliament of Civil Society.
In December 2024, the president of the association was elected as a member of the Permanent General Assembly of the Economic, Social, and Environmental Council of the African Union.
